He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
1 John 4:8
Love is the key to know God. If we go to the most popular verse in scripture, John 3:16, we see that it starts by saying, “For God so loved the world.” The reason why God the Father sent His only begotten son, and why Jesus Christ gave His life for us, and why He is desperately trying to get our attention is because of love. So, if the main things that God has done has been because of His amazing and unfailing love for us, doesn’t it make sense that we should love too? In this verse we clearly see that if we don’t love then we don’t know God. And if we don’t know God, that means that we are not saved. Therefore, if you say to have fellowship with Him, then you should be living a life full of love. However, don’t mistakenly think that political correctness, or acceptance is love, because they have nothing to do with each other. Love is spreading the gospel and showing humanity their need for repentance and of a savior. Make sure that today you do an act of love, and don’t forget to spread the gospel at the same time. Let the love of God overflow in your hearts every day more.
